Victoria · Learner Permit Test · Road rules

During a hook turn, when do you complete the right turn?

The answer

  • As soon as the intersection is clear
  • When the traffic lights on the road you are entering turn green Correct
  • When the tram behind you sounds its bell
  • When the light you entered on turns red

Why that's the answer

You wait in the intersection, to the left, until the traffic lights on the road you are turning INTO change to green — then complete the turn ahead of that traffic.
