How close to a pedestrian crossing may you stop?

The answer

  • Not within 3 metres on either side
  • Not within 20 metres on the approach side or 10 metres on the leaving side Correct
  • Not within 10 metres on either side
  • Right up to the crossing markings

Why that's the answer

Stopping is prohibited within 20 metres before a pedestrian or children's crossing and 10 metres after it. A parked car on the approach hides waiting pedestrians from drivers who are still moving.
