The answer

  • Slow down to no more than 60 km/h as you pass
  • Simply change lanes without needing to slow down
  • Slow down to no more than 40 km/h and move over if it is safe to do so Correct
  • Stop completely until the flashing lights are switched off

Why that's the answer

WA's Slow Down, Move Over (SLOMO) law requires you to slow to 40 km/h or less and, where possible, move over when passing any stationary emergency or incident response vehicle displaying flashing lights. It applies on all WA roads, including freeways.
