Western Australia · Computerised Theory Test (CTT) practice question
Correct answer: Stop briefly to pick up or set down passengers or goods, staying with the vehicle
A 'NO PARKING' area still allows a short stop to pick up or put down passengers or goods - 2 minutes unless the sign shows a different time - and you must stay with the vehicle, since one left more than three metres away counts as unattended. That is what separates it from 'NO STOPPING' (also signed 'NO STANDING'), where you may not stop at all.
