On a WA road with two or more lanes each way and a 100 km/h limit, when may you use the right lane?

The answer

  • Only when overtaking, turning right or making a U-turn, or when other lanes are congested Correct
  • Only between dawn and dusk
  • Only if you are travelling at the speed limit
  • Any time - lane choice is up to the driver

Why that's the answer

Where the limit is 90 km/h or higher, or 'KEEP LEFT UNLESS OVERTAKING' signs are installed, the right lane is for overtaking, turning right or making a U-turn with a right signal, avoiding a special purpose or turning lane, or when the other lanes are congested.
