The answer

  • Straddle the bicycle lane early to block it
  • Turn quickly before the cyclist arrives
  • Give way to the cyclist — check your mirror and blind spot before turning Correct
  • Sound your horn so the cyclist slows down

Why that's the answer

When turning left you must not cut across a cyclist travelling straight through in the bicycle lane. Check your left mirror and do a head check before every left turn — cyclists move faster than they appear.
