When are you permitted to overtake another vehicle on its left?

The answer

Whenever the vehicle ahead is travelling below the speed limit
Never - overtaking on the left is always prohibited
Whenever the road is wide enough for two cars
On a multi-lane road, while staying entirely within a marked lane to its left Correct

Why that's the answer

You may overtake on the left on a multi-lane road when you can do so safely in a marked lane to the left of the other vehicle. You may also pass on the left of a vehicle that is turning right or making a U-turn.
