The answer

  • Only freeways with a 110 km/h limit
  • Only roads outside built-up areas
  • Multi-lane roads with a speed limit over 80 km/h, or where a 'Keep Left Unless Overtaking' sign applies Correct
  • All roads with more than one lane

Why that's the answer

On a multi-lane road where the speed limit is more than 80 km/h, or where a 'Keep Left Unless Overtaking' sign applies, you must not drive in the right lane except when overtaking, turning right, making a U-turn, avoiding an obstruction, or when traffic in every lane is congested — the exceptions listed in rule 130.
