Queensland · PrepL Road Rules Test · QLD licence rules

How is the in-person written road rules test marked in Queensland?

The answer

  • One combined score of 27 out of 30
  • At least 9 of the 10 giving-way questions, and 18 of the 20 road rules and licence questions Correct
  • Any 27 correct answers in any combination
  • Pass or fail on the giving-way questions alone

Why that's the answer

The written test is marked in two parts: at least 9 out of 10 questions about giving way, and 18 out of 20 about road rules and driver licence requirements. You can only afford one giving-way mistake, so a strong overall score can still fail.
