A yellow arrow appears in the direction you intend to turn. What does it require?

The answer

  • Turn quickly before the red arrow appears
  • Stop at the stop line and do not enter the intersection to go that way - unless you are so close that stopping suddenly would cause a crash Correct
  • Give way to oncoming traffic, then turn
  • It is advisory only

Why that's the answer

A yellow arrow warns that the red signal is about to come on. You must stop at the stop line and must not enter the intersection if you intend to travel in the arrow's direction - the single exception is being so close that a sudden stop might cause an accident.
