Tasmania · Driver Knowledge Test · TAS licence rules

You are a learner driver in Tasmania on a highway signposted at 110 km/h. What is the fastest you are legally allowed to drive?

The answer

  • 100 km/h
  • 110 km/h — the posted limit applies to all drivers
  • 80 km/h
  • 90 km/h Correct

Why that's the answer

Learner drivers in Tasmania must never exceed 90 km/h, even where a higher speed limit is posted. Where the posted limit is below 90 km/h, the posted limit applies.
