New South Wales · Driver Knowledge Test (DKT) · NSW licence rules

What is the maximum speed a learner driver may travel in NSW, even if the posted limit is higher?

The answer

  • The posted speed limit
  • 80 km/h
  • 90 km/h Correct
  • 100 km/h

Why that's the answer

NSW learner drivers must not exceed 90 km/h, even on roads with a higher posted limit. This is different from some other states, where learners may drive at the posted limit.
